Some days are just about learning how to forget about future possibilities and embrace the now.
Some days it’s more of a challenge to not entertain thoughts of possible changes and surprises in an attempt to make life feel more exciting and unexpected, but some days it goes too far and those hopes and dreams turn out to be consuming and only supply discontentment.
Some days it’s better to forget about potentials, for the sake of actually living in the present.
Some days it will be harder to do and you may not even be quite sure how to do it at all.
But you know it’s needed,
and some days that’s all you need to know to begin learning a way of life that will encourage contentment.
“The greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances.”
― Martha Washington
‘You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in You.’
