And then, we were going to NYC

At 12:30pm last night Justin and I booked a 5 day trip to NYC for our one year anniversary.

We booked city passes to go to the top of the Empire State building, a ferry ride around Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, the top of Rockefeller Center, the Museum of Modern Art, the MET, and the American Museum of Natural History.

We also reserved tickets to the Central Park zoo.

We will be staying at a four star hotel right at the outskirts of central park.

We booked a city view room, and I am already breathless just thinking about being able to look out on the view from the  picture window in our room.

We did not at all expect to be able to do so much to celebrate our one year anniversary and we are so excited about being able to explore a new city together and spend some quality time together without the worries of work and school for a bit!

We will be leaving less than a month from today and if I had a hard time focusing on the last 3 weeks of school before, you’d  better believe I’m gonna have to put some crazy self control and focus into practice to not just swoon all day over the contents of those future 5 days! 😀

If you think of it, say a prayer for safety and good weather for the venture!

Our honeymoon was a pretty difficult trip with breaking down in the car on the way, poor weather and hearing of a friend’s death in the middle of the trip, we’re hoping to be able to redo some adventure trip memories with less fear and anxiety!

I am so excited to keep planning and figuring out what we’ll be able to explore and see while we are in the city, and we have some great packing ideas (aka, only a backpack each!) that I am really looking forward to putting into place!

You guys, its gonna be so great! If you have any suggestions or tips for big city travel and exploration, let us know!! 🙂
